As President Bush was being sworn in for his second term in Washington, members of the Jersey City Peace Movement held an Anti-Bush Inaugural Vigil at the Five Corners intersection, at Newark and Summit avenues.
What Erik-Anders Nilsson, co-founder of organization, hoped to accomplish was to focus attention on the gap that exists between the Bush administration's domestic spending and the amount of spending abroad, he said.
"We are looking to link homelessness to the over $200 billion spent on the illegal occupation of Iraq," said Nilsson. "We have to start taking care of what's wrong here."
