There really should be a revamping of the shelter system in philadelphia because like myself people with the virus need housing or a place seperate from the shelter system so that they can repair themselves a lot of people don't understand there are staigmas that come with HIV/AIDS that years of misinformation are hard on an individual too erase a person living in lonliness needs the support of people just like themselves that a person living in a shelter system can't get from staff or residents that are feelingless. The bouts of depression and loneliness that come with the virus. The shelter system all but ignores, like government that people need programs that empower them too regain that which they lack or lost due to trama.
from my own exsperience in the shelter system, that frustrated me too use drugs, at present I am clean and back fighting for the people just like me who want a chance too do better, the lies that mayors and politictions tell will turn too truth because programs are not cosmetics they must be permanent and a service to those they serve It does not take a lot too see that cafe's help and are a service in philadelphia and for the services I as a consumer can not get I will campaign until I get the help I need let me say local and national a lot of people will hear the beat of my drum very soon because homelessness is down played and people have a right to homes or a lot more people will die or contract std's because when you are homeless you become a victom of the systematic abuses or individuals that pray on the less fortunate only too line their pockets those folks are no different that drug dealers who have what people want and need. I will contact a lot of organizations on what they can do or else business will be interrupted by protest of services not given as promissed by some elected people in philadelphia. I tell you about the cafe's which open at ten and kick you out at five or six in the morning people wander from one end of the city that the resident and working class just don't want too see, when reality say that everyone is one paycheck away from homelessness
ask yourself the question that in this world of high gas, disease, un- affordable healthcare uncle sam has poverty like a teliscope train on you.
