Hi there,
I live with my girlfriend and a friend of ours, we have been in our property for 12 months, but it has since been sold, and the owners are moving in soon. We were given 60 days notice and have been applying for many, many property since.
My girlfriend and our friend are both international students and have adequate offshore financial support (from china) and $10,000 each in savings, and I was between jobs for 3 weeks and have now started a full time position at 40k per year.
Money is really not an issue due to their continued offshore support, but it seems many Aussie landlords question international students ability to pay (unfoundered and is the core of our problem).
We now have 10 days left until we have to be out and we are yet to be accepted for any of our applications and I'm afraid we will have nowhere to live.
We're very worried and I am looking for options to keep us off the streets.
Please help.
