Yeah, bleach isn't a drug it's a poison.
Good for killing mould, bacteria or viruses, icky bad in veins.

Ew, I remember doing that. Used to collect handfuls of butts out of ashtrays and reroll 'em. That's so gross, tastes so stale. It's so nice now to be able to have my own packet of fags :) . I hope I don't ever have to go back to doing that.

Eh, but to the question at hand: I've been a smoker for years. Alcohol and street, as well as over-the-counter, drugs have been quite an issue for me admitably.

I haven't had any drugs guys.Hope you guys be like me.

i was all of eleven,and mind you i was born in the mid fifties, and dad used to smoke a packet of 20 bensen and hedges over a period of twelve months.
i pinched a smoke out of that packet after it had been opened for twelve months, and after the first drag the room started to spin round and round, i went outside and the hills hoist was going round and round with no wind, so was the shed, and bird aviary,
after that i decided to stick to my packets of 5 molboro reds.:D

Been to detox 3 times by the time I was 18. Quit paint, morph, speed (wasn't really a user for that one) and now just stick to the weed, but that still makes life pretty difficult at times, is still really addictive and damaging. I've never started using something and been able to stop without detox, even coffee and smokes I was addicted to from the first taste. Most things I've stopped using, but still have alot of work to do. It's a love hate relationship with pot, it's an ingrained part of my identity but I also try to be really aware of it's affects and consequences, which is good but makes me feel guilty and sad sometimes, that I just can't stop when I want to, and that it affects my behaviour and emotions so much but I keep on smoking. But I do it cos I love it too, and at least I can still have a great job and make the mortgage payments and be a stoner also. There's nothing like the feeling of drugs, you just can't match it, it's just everything else that comes with it, that in the end always makes it not worth the high. Can't tell your body and mind that though, cos your an addict.

ive been straight now from the illicit drugs for 35 years and off the heavy drinking for about 18 and i dont miss it.
its actually easy being straight once you get used to it and peacefull.:)

im clean of everything nearly 8 months now YAY:):):):)

No real need to go off on one as a student asks a simple question. This part of the forum was created so that school kids and students could ask questions that may assist in their understanding of homelessness. Its up to members of this community to reply if they so want. Granted sometimes the questions posed can seem stupid to some peeps, but generally they are asked with the best of intentions..

I presume when you mention Kimberly Rogers, you are refering to the pregnant woman who died whilst under house arrest? The relevance of this to your post I dont really understand, or why you would use this woman in this way.

I kinda understand your questioning of the word 'abuse' when used to describe drug use/addiction, thats a very valid point... though there is no need to resort to abuse in your reply

When you think of it too, is it not better to a ask a person how hungry they are, than not ask at all?

Maybe by asking simple questions like the original poster has, they might actually learn and do something about it...
