He might try putting an ad on his local Craig's List saying exactly what he needs. That he needs a ticket, and that anyone who buys him one will have the satisfaction of doing a good deed and getting one homeless person out of WA state.

He could also try panhandling at the station for a ticket, but he may not have much luck and may get kicked out of the station.

    He could also try hitch-hiking.

He may be able to find some train-hopping hobos, yes they still exist, and get out to Ohio by hopping trains.

Just some ideas I'd try if I were in his situation.

if there's a street paper near him, he can sell it for a ticket, and make enough in one day. panhandle, is the second best garlic breath put forward. colleges sometimes have rideshares and could post a note at student halls. hobo'n ain't bad. couldn't hurt to let someone on the train know he's not a threat, and needs a ride if they'd look the other way.

I don't want to ask why he needs a ticket back, to Ohio.

Oh, and the greyhound program works if you are a runaway teenager.

In Ohio they gave a man a plane ticket to london because his girlfriend stold all his money and he had no way to get back (this was the homeless shelter) All states are
different but normally places want you out of thier state so they will pay for bus tickets and such....It never hurts to ask Try St Vinnies it is Catholic and they help alot of people....TC and good luck.....unemployment in Ohio is 62% only 38% working are you sure he wants to come to Ohio? Best wishes

Vinnies = St Vincent De Paul, they're good folks.

And what Mc said, states are happy to send you off to ANOTHER state.

Frankly even as nice as the Sally, Vinnie's, etc are, I'd personally just get on down to the station, got on Craig's List, something, and get moving. By the time even the nicer agencies got me a ticket, what with paperwork etc, I'd be back in OH.

And it's not a 2-way the guy needs, he's from OH, went to WA, it's not working out, wants to get back with his GF in OH. Maybe he won't even be homeless in OH.

  9. Default Free travel across USA

About 4 times now I have gotten my self, and all my things from one state to another and once all the way from AZ to PA using a really great site.

The site is called Uship.com -you can put up a post free and other travelers and truck drivers will contact you with offers. If you are traveling light, and willing to pay a little for gas, or help unload trucks its easy. The site has a rating system for the drivers listed there so when the trip is over you can rate your experience.

I got a mover to move all my things from a studio apartment in Tempe, AZ to Philadelphia, PA for $300 plus I got to ride along and only had to help fold moving blankets and unload small boxes. My last move from Hollywood, CA to Austin, TX I got for free when I told the truck driver I was homeless, which I was.

Cool I'm Wheelchair Bound need a ride to Milwakee Wiscoson from San Franciso Califorina

I have bills that needs to be paid I can pay when social security stopped my SSI.

because my old payee was paying my bills and was not giving me the rest of my SSI $ to me in cash.

As my old payee was pocketing $475.00 of my $ into his pocket every month and giving me only $1.00

I need to go to Milwaukee wi to my uncle terry to take me to the Milwaukee social security office to get my $ for me and pay my bills and send me back to sf on the bus and send me $ through western union monthly as my uncle terry has to be my payee until he can help me be my own payee.

I have storage rent bills that are due this month.
Looking for any one how can help.

Why did they stop the ssi?

Why do you need a payee? Why can't you get it yourself?

How many items do you have in storage? Maybe not is a good time to think about selling any items you don't need and downscale to a smaller/cheaper unit for items that are important.

I would be leary about catching a ride off of Craigslist
(or anything else from CL for that matter).
It's become a site known for scammers, hucksters,
robbers, and even an axe murderer here and there.
    Hitchhking is just as risky.
I'd try asking around at yer nearest truckstop.
Lots of those guys are going cross-country and
some like the company to wile away the hours.
    Give it a shot.
