New homelessness inquiry in Australia

Hello all,

My name is Louise and I've joined this list because I'm a researcher working on a National Inquiry into Youth Homelessness in Australia. My workmate Tor has also joined this list and we hope to learn a lot from all the members about the experiences of being homeless, especially for young people.

Our website is at http://www.nyc.net.au if you want to know more about the NYC. We have discussion lists there too. I was hoping people who use this list might also like to contribute to discussions on the NYC site.

Please let me know what you think about the inquiry and the website (I know the website is looking a bit bare at the moment but we'll keep working on it--any suggestions?)

Welcome to the forums Louise ....

I applaud your project or if you prefer inquiry ... I'm in the Uk so I'm not of much use to you, but never the less It's good to see activity like your's happening.

I hope that these forums will prove to be of great benefit to you. Understanding the issues of homelessness has got to be the first step forward towards finding a solution to the homeless situation, and getting to the roots of those issues is the only realistic method of doing so.
