Homeless In China!

Hi everybody!I'm a student of chinese culture, and i have a project for my thesis about the way in which the Chinese government is acting toward the homeless people. Unfortunately i'm having troubles finding informations about it, could anyone help me on where to find news or informations related on the subject?Thanks a lot.

Hi, Marco, I just browsed the website of Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China, there's a department for social welfare and charity, about 12 policies have been released since 2003, but only in Chinese. fss.mca.gov.cn/article/jzgl/zcfg/
Shelters for homeless people were established in all the cities by local government, the procedures include registration, persuasion, education (Training), basic living supply and so on, so it's been a mature system.

I`m a doctoral candidate in the USA examining a range of global human rights issues. I`m trying to get the rate of homelessness (number of people living on the streets) in China?

Can anyone provide me with a figure and a reliable source? I realize that counts vary for this data. I used to work as a homeless outreach worker in the states. For purposes of my research I need a number and a purortedly reliable source.

If a value for the overall population is not available, other types of data are important--i.e. official estimates of homeless children or official estimates of people homeless and/ or in vulnerable housing.

China is a country with the largest population in the world, and China has developed very quickly recent years, people has been more and more richer. The homeless people will be sent to the resue station and the station will give them the jobs. A Little Love can change the world, so is China.
