I have made this thread a 'sticky' so it will appear at the top of this sub-forum...

I have discussed the proposal with a number of members who may have the time to create a presence here over the 'festivities' and we are getting good feed back... With the time differences etc. I believe we can ensure that members of our community will be around for each other and those new to the community.

So.... without any pressure... who will be about?

Myself and Dominic have commited to being around....

If, as we would like to do, offer this service publically it would be great if we could commit sometime to be around...

Putting the lights up takes a great deal of messing about... but as Beat said, I'll be around on Christmas if anyone wants a chat.

My brother and his feonchay are driving from well up north to well down south of where I live for a gig (they are musicians) so I will be catching up with them either on their way down or their way back.

Is this to be an alcohol-free event or can we toss back a cold one if we'd like ?

It will be long day-night. I might want to "wet me whistle" from time to time.

He he he....feeling a bit "under the weather" are we, Housed ?

A few expressions used for someone who is drunk:
"Plastered"
"Hammered"
"Bombed"
"Toasted"
"Tanked Up"

and my all time favorite...
..."Three sheets to the wind"

Was planning to spend xmas week with a friend and her kids but unfortuantely she had to postpone travelling to brisvegas so am now at a loose end. Unfortunately I can't get net access as I rely on the public library.
So I think it will be a quiet one. Few beers and think I'll cook a big roast lunch for my house mate, myself and any of our random friends that drop in LOL.

What ever every one is doing may it be as good as day as possible. I know it's not a particularly happy time for a lot of people me included. I'll be happy when we get through the holiday period and things get back to "normal" (what ever that is LOL) in early January.

sounds good to me Mr. Punter...

As some peeps may be aware my internet access has been limited, like Punter relying on Libraries... BUT I have thankfully got access to a cracktop over the 'festivities' so I will be around....

tbh xmas is just another day to me... except Im looking forward to buzzing with my friends here...

With Ibu in the States... Dom & other mods based in aussieland and myself in Europe... looks like we should be around with varying timezones with our valued members for the craic...

It would be an idea to tell others about our 'open online house' for xmas.. the more the merrier!!!!

I'll be playing Christmas carols on the old horn, and chances are I'll get invited to a party or three.
