Just wondering...

The Vincentian Village is at the east end of Francis Lane
Jeff's food van parks on the corner of Yurong St and Mary's Rd

Both are east of Hyde Park (off William St).

At either of those two places you can also get directions to St. Canices Soup Kitchen and Wayside Chappel, a short walk up the road into Kings Cross.

I have never been to Australia, but in America, anyone with a library card can go to their local library and use a computer with access to the internet.
Is it the same in Australia ?

There is a place in Wickham (Newcastle) in Wood St called "Newcastle City Mission". It is a great place where one can go for a free lunch, shower, watch tv, socialise and do laundry for a small fee.(only 50c if i remember correct, been a couple of years) Very helpful place that has Counselling services and access to crisis accommodation. Pets are also welcome, they'll get a feed too!

I hope the above is still true as it has been a few years since i was in the area but i looked it up before posting this and it is still there..

it is the same in New South Wales as most local libraries have internet access and there are many internet cafes as well. In the Hostel, I work, the majority of younger clients have an email address, but many of the older clients have some degree of technophobia.
