Eastside protest set over homeless tent city issue
BELLEVUE -- Come tomorrow morning, Arnie Brandon, who lives just across the street from Holy Cross Lutheran Church, intends to back his 35-foot motor home out of its garage, park it out front and drape it with a 35-foot sign "that says 'No Tent City HERE!' or something like that; I'll figure it out," Brandon said.
Brandon's demonstration will be part of a larger protest being promoted on the Web site of TentCitySolutions.com, an Eastside group that has been fighting the tent-city phenomenon since advocates for the homeless began testing Eastside sensibilities with what is called Tent City 4 near a Kingsgate park and ride last spring. more Last edited by Dominic; 10-13-2009 at 09:10 PM.
